Radio Voorwaarts

Platform for counterculture 2017-2022.
Radio Voorwaarts originated as a short film chronicling the final party of an alternative community on the brink of eviction. The film can be watched on radiovoorwaarts.net.
After the film, Radio Voorwaarts evolved into a collective and platform for counterculture with a DIY and community-building mentality. A lot of our work related to discourse around gentrification, urban renewal, and (the lack of space for) counterculture in our hometown of Amsterdam. We hosted events and cultural programmes relating to these issues and later became involved in supporting direct housing action and the squatting movement.
